| Villa Verdi is located in the Tuscan countryside one km away from Montaione, a small medieval village. The first owner was the Count Bardi family and it is believed that Buontalenti was the architect who designed and built the villa over ancient ruins. There are many myths and legends about ghosts that wander in the villa and along the countryside. It is located on 300 hectares in the southern hills of Pisa in the countryside of Volterra. Cattle and horses are raised on the property and cereal and hay is grown. Olive oil is cultivated in the traditional way from the old olive trees on the property. The villa no longer resembles a stable and the kitchen open out to an outdoor pergola where you can barbeque and dine in the summers. Next to the pergola is a beautiful swimming pool.
