Then the cylinder is cut into large sheet after it gets cooled. Then artists draw designs on it using chalk or die and cut the metal drum using hammer or chisel and mould the design. After that edges which are not smooth are converted into concave or convex. Both colorful and three dimensional designs can be formed from the drums. Varnish is coated in final art piece for protection. At last using a chisel artist signs his name on it. Because of their unique design no two works look alike. The sculpturs are used as decorative items for both indoor and outdoor. they are mainly comes in the form of hanging type and are more eco-friendly to use. African slaves begin the Haitian voodoo art in the 16th century. The traditional belief of these trades is called voodoo. The arts are very much influenced by voodoo. Several paintings contain voodoo culture, scenery, deities and ceremony. Haitian art have inspired many other art forms in the world. culture, art and lifestyle in Haiti are reflected in arts. Talents of Haitian artists are legible in their art works. Craftmanship of Haiti provide more economic opportunities to the folk artists there. They use the materials from nearby them for making many innovative designs. They create unimaginable arts from simple oil drums. They change oil drums into excellent sculptures. It provide more trading opportunity to artist and thereby making economic benefit. The handmade works of Haiti have its own peculiar features and it enhance the living standard of artists.
